Noted columnist Hedda Hopper was certainly a hat lover in her day. Take a look at the variety of hat styles from the 1940s and 1950s that were her fashion. Yes, hats extraordinaire!!
Got to wondering who made some of Hedda's hats. A wonderful article from LA Times shows Hedda as a delegate to the Republican convention in July, 1960. Helen Fischer of Alaska is shown placing a "King Crab" hat on her head. Just what is that? No crabs were evident. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/thedailymirror/1960-democratic-convention-1/page/2/
Gotta love Hedda. Weren't all of her hats just great?
