OK, not everyone wearing a hat is happy.

Since I have become a hat seller, I have been conscious of types of hats from all eras. When I go to antique shows or flea markets I seek out hats of course but also hat related items. Any time I find a box of old photos I must look through to find folks wearing hats.

I recently came upon this photo. But look at the expressions on those faces!! I don't think even a hat could lift those spirits. From the writing on the back I believe this is a German photo. And I am guessing from the late 1800's.
I wish they were happier.
